Professor in the area of ​​Theory and History of Education at the UGR and head of the PYREC Research Group – Comparative Educational Policies and Reforms. She is linked to the Degree in Early Childhood Education and University Masters, with subjects on comparative educational policies, as well as to the Doctorate Program in Educational Sciences.

She has participated in national and international research projects funded in competitive calls. She is immersed in the study of educational policies for Vocational Training, in the pedagogical-philosophical movement of Reggio Emilia as a reference in professional training for educators in the early childhood education stage, as well as in the study of youth policies and their relationship with social inclusion-exclusion. She has published in indexed journals, as well as publications in book chapters. Her career is endorsed by the recognition of two six-year terms by the CNEAI
